Research That Goes Beyond the Numbers
Statistics tell part of the story. The source, methodology, and context reveal what those figures actually represent.
Our research-focused articles examine industry estimates, consumer surveys, participation data, and scientific findings. We look at how figures are collected, where comparisons can be misleading, and what the available evidence supports.
Whether you're researching a wellness market, following consumer behaviour, or reviewing a new industry trend, we bring the relevant information together in one place.
-
01
Source
Who produced the figure, and do they have a commercial interest in it?
-
02
Method
Survey, sales data, model, or trial, and how large and representative the sample is.
-
03
Definition
Which products, services, or populations the number actually includes.
-
04
Timeframe
Whether it is historical, a current estimate, or a projection.
An Estimate and a Forecast Are Not the Same Number
The wellness economy is often quoted as a single figure. In practice, the latest annual estimate and a five-year projection come from different methods and carry different levels of certainty.
We report them side by side and label each one, so readers can see which figure describes past activity and which is still a forecast.

Evidence Before Assumptions
A wellness product can attract widespread attention without having strong evidence behind its claims. A growing industry can generate impressive revenue without proving that every service delivers the results it promises. We examine these differences.
Our editorial approach considers what consumers are doing, how industries are responding, and what research has established so far. We distinguish scientific findings from commercial forecasts, early research from established evidence, and consumer interest from demonstrated benefits. Our aim is to keep wellness reporting accurate, accessible, and useful.
| We report | Kept separate from | |
|---|---|---|
| Scientific findings | Commercial forecasts | |
| Early research | Established evidence | |
| Consumer interest | Demonstrated benefits | |
| Market growth | Proof of effectiveness |
